    CODE OF CONDUCT

    Mount Carmel Christian Academy strongly believes:

    “Train up a child in way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it”.

    Discipline is the basis of a strong foundation in life. Bringing up the children in a disciplined way is a core value where children know what is right and wrong and makes them a better and strong person.

    Attention of parents is drawn to the following code of conduct. Any breach will lead to appropriate corrective disciplinary action being initiated.

    1 Coming late to school / class.
    2 Use of abusive language.
    3 Late submission of class / homework.
    4 Misconduct in school bus /class.
    5 Bullying / beating fellow student.
    6 Breaking school rules.
    7 Bunking school.
    8 Passing any remarks about fellow students / teachers.
    9 Disobedience and Non-co-operative behavior.
    10 Leave without permission.
    11 Improper or untidy uniform.
    12 Non – compliant, rude behaviour towards teachers, non – teaching and support staff.

    GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

    1 Admission of a child to the school means complete acceptance by the parents / guardian of the school rules that are laid down or amended from time to time. Rules are subject to change at the school managements and administration discretion.
    2 Parents /Guardians are welcome to visit the school only on prior appointment and are requested not to enter any class room without permission.
    3 Parents /Guardians are requested to notify the school of any change in their address or telephone number in writing immediately.
    4 Girls should have their hair well combed . Girls with long hair should comb their hair into two ponytail/ plaits tied with black ribbon/rubber band. Jewelry should be avoided. Only simple earrings (studs or small earrings) are allowed. Use of ring is not permitted. Colouring of hair and use of henna (mehendi) on hair and hands is not permitted.
    5 Nails should be properly trimmed. Nail polish is not permitted.
    6 Boys hair should be neat, trim and well groomed. Boys are not permitted to have extreme hairstyles spikes or use hair gel. Disciplinary action will be taken on students not following the guidelines.
    7 Students are to wear well-polished shoes everyday.
    8 Discipline must be maintained very strictly and movement between classroom, library or labs must be orderly and silent.
    9 School property should not be tampered with or damaged. A fine in addition to the cost of damaged property will be charged from the parent.
    10 Students are not allowed to carry whitener, cellphone, wearing kada and any other unwanted materials to the school. If anyone is found with the above mentioned things, it will be confiscated and the student will be disciplined according to the school rules which may amount to suspension or dismissal.
    11 Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, dis-obedience and disrespect toward members of the school staff or bad moral influences justify suspension or dismissal.
    12 Children must bring the school diary daily. Parents /Guardians must sign the home work diary and make a note of occasional remarks from the teacher.
    13 It is mandatory for parents to sign the principals or class teacher’s remarks in the diary. Parents signature / acknowledgment of a remark implies that appropriate follow up / remedial action in being taken. This is essential for the ultimate benefit of the child.
